House of Commons Jerk Seasoning Mix
Description
Our Jerk Seasoning is based on a mix used by chefs in House of Commons kitchens to produce one of the most popular dishes consumed at Parliament. Created by sous chef Sean Macnelis over two decades ago, the almost legendary House of Commons jerk chicken is a variation on the classic Jamaican dish.
Every year, Parliament's passholders and their guests work their way through more than 18,000 servings of both the chicken and its equally popular spin-off, jerk pork.
The recipe for House of Commons Jerk Chicken includes cream to make a sauce, but this spice mix can be used on its own as a dry rub to make a more authentic version if desired.
The spice mix has been created by House of Commons chefs in collaboration with family-run company Spice Kitchen.
The tin has a QR code which you can scan to view the full recipe in easy to follow, step-by-step instructions.
