UK, Europe and Worldwide delivery timeframes

Please note that we are currently operating on a reduced schedule in order to protect our staff. Our delivery timeframe for all UK shipping addresses is now 5-7 working days (15-20 days for international destinations), but some orders may take longer. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Orders are dispatched from our UK warehouse Monday to Friday (excl Bank Holidays). 

*Please note: Products that are made to order are delivered within 5-7 working days on both standard and expedited services, and will be shipped separately from standard products. Made to order products are indicated as such on the product page.

How do I know if my order has been posted?

You will receive an email from us as soon as your order has been posted.

Can I change the delivery address after I have ordered?

If your order has not yet been dispatched please contact us on +44 (0)20 7219 3890 or shop@parliament.uk so we can change the delivery address.

Do deliveries need a signature?

Most UK deliveries do not require a signature. Deliveries to overseas addresses, however, will often require a signature. 

Deliveries of made-to-order products may require a signature. 

Will I have to pay import duties if ordering from abroad?

If you order for delivery outside the UK, your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT). These duties and taxes are charged when your order arrives at its destination. You will be responsible for paying any additional costs. The postage charges applied by the Houses of Parliament Shop covers packaging and delivery only.

The Houses of Parliament Shop does not have any control over any customs charges and cannot estimate their amount. Please contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order.

You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the country from the country you are sending to. The Houses of Parliament Shop will not be liable for any breach of any such laws.

Returns

How do I return an item?

To return an item, please send an email to shop@parliament.uk containing your name and web order number. 

Our returns policy is 28 days. If more than 28 days has passed since your purchase, unfortunately we won’t be able to offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return the item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in its original packaging.

To process your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase or confirmation email.

If you would like to return an item over £50 we suggest using a trackable postage service.

How do I return a made-to-order item?

Products that are made to order (such as personalised items, framed prints and canvases, and some consumable items) cannot be returned unless damaged or defective. Please see our Cancellation, Returns and Exchanges Policy for more details.

Do I have to pay for postage to return items?

You will need to pay for postage to return items. Postage costs are non-refundable. The amount we refund you will be minus the postage costs.

When will I know if I can get a refund?

Once we receive and check your returned item, we will send you an email to let you know whether or not we are able to refund it.

If we are able to refund you, your original payment method will be automatically credited within 28 days.

If after 28 days you haven’t received your refund please contact your bank as it may take some time for the refund to be processed.

I have received a damaged item, what should I do?

Please keep the damaged item and email us at shop@parliament.uk 

Can I return my order in store at Houses of Parliament shop? 

8.1.2020 - Owing to the temporary closure of the Houses of Parliament Shop on Bridge Street, London, we regret that we are unable to process returns in store until further notice. If you would like to return an item, please contact us on +44 (0)20 7219 3890 or shop@parliament.uk. 

Can I exchange an item?

We only replace items if they are damaged or faulty.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, please email shop@parliament.uk so that we can arrange the return of your product.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
