Central Lobby Tile Necklace
Made exclusively for the House of Commons by NOA, this elegant handmade necklace is part of a new collection of jewellery inspired by A.W.N. Pugin's majestic encaustic tile centrepiece found in Central Lobby – the heart of Parliament.
The pendant features the outer circle of Pugin's design and is made from ceramic, just like the tiles it was inspired by. It's set into an aluminium frame with a rose window, which also takes inspiration from architectural details inside the Palace of Westminster.
The necklace is fastened with a secure lobster clasp and has an extension chain.

About the collection
Our new Central Lobby jewellery collection commemorates the end of a nine-year restoration project in which almost 60,000 handmade encaustic tiles were laid to replace worn and damaged originals that had been in place since the Palace of Westminster was rebuilt after the Great Fire of 1834. The circular Tudor Rose design tile was the very last to be laid in the spring of 2021.
A.W.N. Pugin, whose Central Lobby tile scheme is the inspiration behind the collection, was one of the principal architects of the Palace, responsible for many of its interiors and furnishings.
