Motion to Take Note – ​

​A procedure used in the House to debate a subject ​without needing to take a specific decision.​ Motions to take note always begin “That this House ​takes note of …” The debate may be on any subject, ​but the motion must be phrased in neutral terms ​(although members may give their opinions in the debate).
