Pugin Hart Tile Decoration
Description
New and exclusive, this limited edition tree decoration features a design inspired by one of A.W.N. Pugin's neo-gothic encaustic floor tiles, which can seen in a doorway leading off Westminster Hall.
As one of the two principal architects of the Palace of Westminster, Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin (1812-52) was responsible for many of the interior furnishings and decorations, including the floor tiles that can be found throughout the Palace.
Pugin designed the tile schemes and Herbert Minton of Staffordshire developed the process for making them.
